Caloy Abrera Given a Certificate of Appreciation

In his joyful life and his visionary work he moved fellow Filipinos from outrage and remembrance to the pursuit of noble deeds that contribute not only to the solution of problems in their homes and communities but also to the advancement of nation-building.

Having known Caloy’s love and passion for our country and our people, we are reminded of Ninoy’s words: “Ours is to keep lighting the beacon light of freedom for those who have lost their way…Ours is to articulate the fervent hopes of a people who have suddenly lost their voices…Ours is to adopt the solid stance of courage in the face of seemingly hopeless odds so that hope, no matter how dim or distant, will never vanish from sight.”

Given this 21st day of august 2004 on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the martyrdom of Ninoy Aquino, in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
